Better work orders, faster troubleshooting

How clear work-order descriptions and a consistent first-checks routine save time for technicians and residents.

A vague description is a second trip

“Not working” tells a technician very little. When a work order captures what the resident saw, when it started and what they already tried, the first visit is far more likely to be the last.

Build a first-checks routine

For most common calls there is a short list of checks that rule out the simple causes: power, settings, filters, drains. Writing that list down and sharing it makes new technicians more confident and experienced ones more consistent.

Close the loop

A good completion note records what was found and what was done. It helps the next person and keeps leadership informed without extra meetings.
